December 24, 2006 - Gift Giving Mission
We have a gift giving mission for the holidays planned for Dec. 24th at noon at the main campus for Kids In Distress......we will be delivering all of the donated birthday/holiday gifts that we have accumulated and we will be joined by several other kids that want to work with our foundation on a regular basis.
December 28, 2006 - North American Federation of Temple Youth
Paxton and Peyton will be speaking to the North American Federation of Temple Youth group in a Florida convention being held at the Omni hotel in Miami on Thursday Dec. 28th from 7:15pm to 8:15pm. Paxton and Peyton will do a brief presentation and question/answer session. Following that the teenagers will be divided into groups to help decorate gift bags. Perhaps, make a donation and receive one of our silicone bracelets and hopefully pledge one of their very own Chanukah/holiday gifts!!
Recent Events
The Holiday Expo at Temple Dor Dorim
We were one of 41 other foundations/nonprofit organizations to have booth at this holiday expo. The expo enabled people to "shop" for gifts for friends and family but instead of purchasing materialistic items, they could make a donation to one of the charities in the name of the person they wish to buy a gift for. It was really a great experience!!
The Zipper Family Invites Friends & Family to Get Involved
A family here in Weston, stopped by our booth at the Temple Dor Dorim holiday expo and is having an annual Chanukah party at their home in which they invite over 40 friends and family members to this party....this year, the Zipper family was inspired by our foundation and they have printed on their invitations a request for people to bring an unwrapped gift for a child and will be donating all of the gifts they receive. They have invited our family to the party and have asked Paxton to speak to the children and families at the party about the what's mine is yours foundation. We will be providing our signature gift bags for the kids to decorate and put all the gifts in at the party!!!!
